Still Have Questions?

We’ve answered the most common things parents ask before booking, so you can feel confident choosing what’s right for your child.

Is Ready Set Sport suitable for children who are new to sport?

Yes.

These clinics are designed for all ability levels, including children who are still developing coordination or confidence.

We focus on helping children feel comfortable first, then support them to learn skills at their own pace.

What if my child is shy, anxious, or easily overwhelmed?

That’s very common, and something we’re experienced with.

Our sessions are calm, structured, and supportive, and children are never forced to participate. We encourage gently and allow children to join in when they feel ready..

Are the Holiday Clinics competitive or high-pressure?

No.

There are no trials, no scoring, and no performance pressure.

Our focus is on confidence, skill development, and enjoyment, not competition.

Do children need to be good at sport to enjoy the clinics?

Not at all.

Ready Set Sport is designed for all abilities, from first-timers to confident movers. We focus on effort, enjoyment, and progress — not performance or comparison.

Every child is supported exactly where they’re at.

Are the Holiday Clinics competitive?

No.

Our Holiday Clinics are non-competitive and pressure-free. There are no trials, teams, or expectations to win. Activities are designed to build confidence, skills, and enjoyment in a positive environment.

Children are encouraged — never compared.

What should my child bring on the day?

We recommend:

  • Comfortable sports clothing
  • A hat and water bottle
  • Any personal items your child may need to feel comfortable

Full details are provided after booking.

Who runs the clinics?

All clinics are led by qualified Physical Education teachers and experienced children’s coaches who understand child development and confidence-building.

Sessions are structured, supervised, and designed to be safe, inclusive, and supportive for every child.

What skills will my child learn at a Holiday Clinic?

Children build strong, transferable foundations such as:

  • Balance and coordination
  • Movement control and agility
  • Basic sport skills across multiple activities
  • Confidence in group games and teamwork

These skills support children in school sport, community sport, and future activities, without pressure or burnout.

How are sessions structured?

Each clinic follows a clear, calm structure that helps children feel secure and settled. Sessions include:

  • Gentle warm-ups and movement games
  • Skill-building activities taught clearly and positively
  • Small-group support and guidance
  • Breaks for water and regulation
  • A positive wrap-up so children leave feeling successful

Structure helps children relax — and confidence grows from there.
