Ready Set Sport Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction 

Welcome to Ready Set Sport. 

These Membership Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between Ready Set Sport and the parent or legal guardian enrolling a child into a Ready Set Sport program. 

By enrolling a child in any Ready Set Sport program, purchasing a membership, booking an introductory trial session or attending any Ready Set Sport activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Membership Terms & Conditions, together with any other policies published by Ready Set Sport from time to time. 

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Ready Set Sport programs, including, but not limited to: 

  • Weekly membership programs 

  • Little Legends holiday events 

  • Holiday Clinics 

  • School programs 

  • Daycare and early learning programs 

  • Birthday parties 

  • Special events, competitions and promotional activities conducted by Ready Set Sport 

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to amend these Membership Terms & Conditions where reasonably required. Members will receive at least 30 days written notice of any material changes that may affect their membership.

3. Acceptance of Membership 

By enrolling a child with Ready Set Sport, the parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees that: 

  • They have read and understood these Membership Terms & Conditions. 

  • They agree to comply with all Ready Set Sport policies and procedures. 

  • The information provided during enrolment is true, complete and accurate. 

  • They will notify Ready Set Sport as soon as reasonably practicable if any enrolment, medical or emergency contact information changes. 

  • They understand that participation in Ready Set Sport programs involves physical activity and carries inherent risks. 

  • Their child participates voluntarily. 

  • Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law. 

 

4. Membership Options 

Ready Set Sport offers the following ongoing memberships. 

Little Legends (2–5 Years) 

$85 per month 

Membership includes: 

  • One 45-minute Ready Set Sport session each week. 

  • Continuous year-round membership. 

  • Priority booking for Little Legends holiday events. 

  • Exclusive member pricing for eligible Little Legends holiday events. 

 Rising Stars (Kindy–Year 2) 

$100 per month 

Membership includes: 

  • One 60-minute Ready Set Sport session each week. 

  • Continuous year-round membership. 

  • Priority booking for Holiday Clinics. 

  • Exclusive member pricing for eligible Holiday Clinics. 

Future Champions (Year 3–6) 

$100 per month 

Membership includes: 

  • One 60-minute Ready Set Sport session each week. 

  • Continuous year-round membership. 

  • Priority booking for Holiday Clinics. 

  • Exclusive member pricing for eligible Holiday Clinics. 

Membership fees are reviewed periodically and may be amended in accordance with these Terms & Conditions. 

 

5. Introductory Trial Sessions 

Ready Set Sport offers introductory trial sessions for new families wishing to experience a program before joining. 

Trial session fees are: 

  • Little Legends – $15 

  • Rising Stars & Future Champions – $20 

Trial places are subject to availability. 

Each child is eligible for one introductory trial session only. 

Children who have previously attended a Ready Set Sport weekly program or previously completed an introductory trial are not eligible for an additional trial session. 

Payment of a trial session fee does not guarantee an ongoing membership place. Membership places remain subject to availability. 

 

6. Membership Commitment 

Ready Set Sport memberships are designed as ongoing, year-round memberships rather than term-based enrolments. 

By joining Ready Set Sport, members acknowledge and agree that: 

  • Memberships have a minimum commitment period of 10 weeks. 

  • Following the minimum commitment period, memberships continue until cancelled in accordance with these Terms & Conditions. 

  • A child's place within their chosen program is reserved while their membership remains active. 

  • Memberships are not transferable between children. 

  • Memberships are subject to program availability and age eligibility. 

The 10-week minimum commitment begins from the participant’s first scheduled membership session, as confirmed by Ready Set Sport, and not from the date of enrolment or payment.  

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to decline or discontinue a membership where it is unable to safely or appropriately deliver the program. Any refund entitlement will be determined in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. 

 

7. Payments 

  • Membership fees are collected by monthly direct debit. 

  • Payments are processed on the first day of each month. 

  • Membership fees are charged as a consistent monthly amount throughout the year. 

  • Membership fees are averaged across the year to provide a simple, consistent monthly payment. 

  • The annual Christmas and New Year closure has already been factored into the membership pricing. 

  • Membership fees remain payable regardless of attendance, except where otherwise stated within these Terms & Conditions. 

  • There is no joining fee. 

  • There is no annual membership fee. 

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST. 

 

8. Failed Payments 

If a direct debit payment is unsuccessful: 

  • Ready Set Sport will automatically attempt to reprocess the payment. 

  • Any direct debit provider dishonour fees may be passed on to the member. 

  • A $5 administration fee applies to each failed payment. 

  • Outstanding balances must be paid before attending further sessions. 

  • Ready Set Sport reserves the right to suspend participation until outstanding membership fees have been paid. 

 

9. Membership Changes & Pricing 

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to amend membership fees, timetables, policies, membership inclusions and program offerings from time to time. 

Members will receive at least 30 days written notice of any material change affecting their membership, including any increase to membership fees. 

Changes will take effect from the date advised in the written notification. 

10. School Holidays 

Ready Set Sport operates throughout the year, including during school holidays. 

Regular weekly sessions will continue during school holiday periods wherever possible. 

In addition to weekly programs, Ready Set Sport may offer Holiday Clinics and Little Legends holiday events. Eligible members will receive priority booking opportunities and exclusive member pricing where applicable. 

From time to time, session times, venues or schedules may be adjusted to accommodate holiday programming. Members will be notified in advance of any significant changes. 

 

11. Public Holidays 

Ready Set Sport does not operate on public holidays. 

Where a member's regular session falls on a public holiday, members may attend another Ready Set Sport session during the same week, subject to availability. 

Families must notify Ready Set Sport in advance if they wish to attend an alternative session. 

Alternative sessions are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. 

Membership fees remain payable during public holiday weeks, as an alternative session is offered. 

 

12. Christmas & New Year Closure 

Ready Set Sport closes annually for approximately two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. 

For the 2026/2027 membership year, the planned closure is: 

21 December 2026 – 3 January 2027 

This planned closure has already been factored into the annual membership pricing. 

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to adjust future Christmas closure dates where required. Members will be advised in advance. 

 

13. Refunds & Credits 

Memberships reserve a child's place within a Ready Set Sport program and are not based on attendance. 

Accordingly: 

  • Membership fees are non-refundable. 

  • Credits are not provided for missed sessions. 

  • Refunds or credits are not available where a participant chooses not to attend. 

  • Trial session fees are non-refundable. 

  • Membership fees remain payable throughout the required cancellation notice period. 

  • No refunds or partial refunds are provided for unused membership during the cancellation notice period. 

Nothing within this section limits any rights available under Australian Consumer Law. 

 

14. Missed Sessions 

If a child is unable to attend their regular weekly session: 

  • No refunds or credits will be provided. 

  • Members may attend another Ready Set Sport session during the same week, subject to availability. 

  • Families must notify Ready Set Sport in advance if they wish to attend an alternative session. 

  • Alternative sessions cannot be guaranteed. 

Ready Set Sport is unable to carry forward missed sessions beyond the same calendar week. 

 

15. Weather Policy 

Ready Set Sport will always aim to proceed with scheduled sessions where it is safe to do so. 

Where possible, sessions may be relocated to an indoor or undercover venue. 

Where weather conditions are considered unsafe, including but not limited to extreme heat, storms, lightning, flooding, poor air quality or any other hazardous condition, Ready Set Sport may: 

  • Modify the session. 

  • Relocate the session. 

  • Postpone the session. 

  • Cancel the session. 

Where a session is cancelled by Ready Set Sport, members may attend another Ready Set Sport session during the same week, subject to availability. 

Families must notify Ready Set Sport in advance if they wish to attend an alternative session. 

Alternative sessions remain subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. 

The safety of participants, families and staff will always take priority. 

 

16. Cancellation of Membership 

After the initial 10-week minimum commitment, memberships may be cancelled by providing two months written notice. 

Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to: 

team@readysetsport.com.au 

Membership payments will continue throughout the notice period. 

Members are welcome to continue attending sessions until their membership concludes. 

Memberships cannot be transferred to another participant. 

 

17. Membership Freeze 

Ready Set Sport understands that families may occasionally require a short break from their membership. 

Members may request to freeze their membership for up to four (4) weeks per calendar year, subject to Ready Set Sport's approval. 

The following conditions apply: 

  • Freeze requests must be submitted in writing to team@readysetsport.com.au before the requested freeze period commences. 

  • Approved freeze periods will be charged at 50% of the normal monthly membership fee. 

  • A member's place within their program will be reserved throughout the approved freeze period. 

  • Memberships will automatically recommence at the conclusion of the approved freeze period unless otherwise agreed in writing. 

  • Freeze periods cannot be backdated. 

  • Membership freezes are generally not available during the initial 10-week minimum commitment period, unless approved by Ready Set Sport in exceptional circumstances. 

  • Unused freeze weeks cannot be carried forward into future calendar years. 

  • Ready Set Sport reserves the right to approve, decline or vary any membership freeze request at its reasonable discretion. 

 

18. Program Changes 

Ready Set Sport continually reviews and develops its programs to provide the best possible experience for participants. 

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to make reasonable changes to: 

  • Session times. 

  • Session locations. 

  • Coaches. 

  • Venues. 

  • Activities. 

  • Equipment used. 

  • Program structure. 

  • Class sizes where appropriate. 

Where reasonably practicable, members will receive advance notice of any significant changes. 

Program changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund where the overall nature of the program remains substantially the same. 

19. Medical Information & First Aid 

The health and safety of all participants is a priority for Ready Set Sport. 

Parents and guardians are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date medical information when enrolling their child, including: 

  • Medical conditions. 

  • Allergies. 

  • Disabilities or additional needs. 

  • Current medications. 

  • Any other information relevant to their child's safe participation. 

Parents and guardians must notify Ready Set Sport as soon as reasonably practicable if any medical information changes. 

Where applicable, parents and guardians must provide any required medical management plans (such as Asthma, Anaphylaxis or Diabetes Action Plans) together with any required medication. 

By enrolling, parents and guardians authorise appropriately trained Ready Set Sport staff to administer basic first aid where reasonably required. 

In the event of a medical emergency, Ready Set Sport may: 

  • Contact emergency services. 

  • Arrange ambulance transport. 

  • Contact the nominated emergency contact(s). 

Parents and guardians acknowledge that any medical expenses, including ambulance costs, remain their responsibility unless otherwise covered by Medicare, private health insurance or ambulance cover. 

 

20. Parent & Guardian Responsibilities 

Parents and guardians agree to: 

  • Ensure their child arrives on time and is collected promptly at the conclusion of each session. 

  • Ensure their child wears appropriate clothing and enclosed footwear suitable for physical activity. 

  • Provide a labelled water bottle for each session. 

  • Ensure their child brings any required medication. 

  • Treat coaches, staff, volunteers and other families with courtesy and respect. 

  • Keep emergency contact details current. 

  • Follow all reasonable directions provided by Ready Set Sport staff. 

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to refuse participation where a child's medical, behavioural or support needs cannot be safely accommodated within the program. 

 

21. Child Behaviour 

Ready Set Sport is committed to providing a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all participants. 

Children are expected to: 

  • Treat coaches, staff and other participants with respect. 

  • Follow coach instructions. 

  • Use equipment appropriately. 

  • Participate in a safe manner. 

  • Refrain from bullying, aggressive behaviour, harassment or inappropriate language. 

Where behaviour places the safety or enjoyment of others at risk, Ready Set Sport may: 

  • Provide a verbal reminder. 

  • Ask a child to sit out for part of the session. 

  • Contact the parent or guardian. 

  • Suspend or terminate a membership where behaviour continues despite reasonable intervention. 

Where membership is terminated due to serious or ongoing behavioural concerns, refunds will not be provided except where required under Australian Consumer Law. 

 

22. Parent Code of Conduct 

Ready Set Sport values positive relationships with all families. 

Parents and guardians are expected to: 

  • Encourage all children positively. 

  • Respect coaches, officials, staff and volunteers. 

  • Treat other families with courtesy. 

  • Raise concerns respectfully and privately with Ready Set Sport. 

  • Avoid abusive, threatening, intimidating or discriminatory behaviour. 

Ready Set Sport reserves the right to refuse entry or to suspend or terminate a membership where a parent or guardian's behaviour is considered unacceptable or places the wellbeing of staff, volunteers or participants at risk. 

 

23. Photography & Media 

From time to time, photographs and videos may be taken during Ready Set Sport programs for promotional, educational and community engagement purposes. 

These images and videos may be used on: 

  • The Ready Set Sport website. 

  • Social media platforms. 

  • Printed promotional material. 

  • Marketing and advertising campaigns. 

During the enrolment process, parents and guardians will be asked to provide their photography and media consent through Ready Set Sport's enrolment system. 

Ready Set Sport will only use photographs or videos of participants in accordance with the consent provided during enrolment. 

Parents and guardians may update or withdraw their photography and media consent at any time by contacting Ready Set Sport or updating their enrolment details where available. 

Parents and guardians must not photograph or record other children without the permission of the child's parent or guardian. 

 

24. Food & Drink 

Participants must bring a clearly labelled water bottle to every session. 

Food is generally not permitted during standard weekly programs unless approved by Ready Set Sport. 

Where food is required for Holiday Clinics or other special events, families will receive separate information outlining food requirements and allergy considerations. 

Ready Set Sport is a nut-aware organisation. Families are asked to avoid sending foods containing nuts where reasonably possible to assist in protecting participants with severe allergies. 

25. Personal Property 

Participants are responsible for all personal belongings brought to Ready Set Sport programs and events. 

Ready Set Sport accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings, including but not limited to clothing, footwear, hats, drink bottles, sporting equipment, jewellery or electronic devices. 

Parents and guardians are encouraged to ensure all belongings are clearly labelled. 

 

26. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability 

Ready Set Sport is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable and professionally managed environment for all participants. 

Parents and guardians acknowledge that participation in sport and physical activity involves inherent risks, including the risk of accidental injury. 

By enrolling a child in a Ready Set Sport program, parents and guardians acknowledge that: 

  • Their child participates voluntarily. 

  • They understand and accept the inherent risks associated with physical activity. 

  • They have provided all relevant medical information known to them at the time of enrolment. 

  • They will promptly advise Ready Set Sport of any changes to their child's medical condition. 

Ready Set Sport will take all reasonable care in planning and delivering its programs and maintaining a safe environment. 

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation. 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ready Set Sport is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in a Ready Set Sport program where such liability cannot reasonably be attributed to the negligence or unlawful conduct of Ready Set Sport. 

 

27. Events Beyond Our Control (Force Majeure) 

Ready Set Sport will not be liable for any delay, interruption, modification or cancellation of programs where such circumstances are beyond its reasonable control. 

These circumstances may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Severe weather. 

  • Natural disasters. 

  • Bushfires. 

  • Flooding. 

  • Government restrictions or directions. 

  • Public health emergencies. 

  • Venue closures or venue damage. 

  • Utility failures. 

  • Any other event that makes it unsafe or impracticable to deliver a program. 

Where reasonably practicable, Ready Set Sport will communicate any changes to affected members as soon as possible. 

 

28. Privacy 

Ready Set Sport collects, stores and uses personal information for the purpose of administering memberships, communicating with families, managing bookings and delivering programs safely and effectively. 

Personal information will be managed in accordance with the Ready Set Sport Privacy Policy and all applicable Australian privacy legislation. 

 

29. Governing Law 

These Membership Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. 

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia. 

 

30. Severability 

If any provision of these Membership Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed from these Terms & Conditions. 

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. 

 

31. Entire Agreement 

These Membership Terms & Conditions, together with the Ready Set Sport Privacy Policy and any other policies or procedures published by Ready Set Sport from time to time, constitute the entire agreement between Ready Set Sport and the parent or legal guardian in relation to a participant's membership. 

 

 32. Acceptance 

By enrolling a child in a Ready Set Sport program, purchasing a membership or participating in any Ready Set Sport activity, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they: 

  • Have read and understood these Membership Terms & Conditions. 

  • Agree to be bound by these Membership Terms & Conditions. 

  • Confirm that all information provided during enrolment is true and accurate. 

  • Consent to their child's participation in Ready Set Sport programs in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
